Get paid for the work you have already done
Chasing a customer who owes you is slow and awkward, and a lawyer usually costs more than the invoice is worth. Pandas LP sends a lawyer-signed Letter of Demand from ₦10,000, reminds your customer on your behalf, and prepares the Small Claims Court forms if they still do not pay.
Who this is for
Suppliers, distributors, agencies, consultants, contractors, schools, clinics and landlords: any business with a customer, client or tenant who owes money and has stopped responding. It works best for amounts up to ₦5,000,000, which the Small Claims Court can hear quickly if the letter is ignored (see the Lagos State Small Claims Court Practice Directions). Start with our free letter of demand sample if you would rather write it yourself.
How it works
- Tell us what happened. A short chat online: who owes you, how much, and since when. Upload your invoices, contract or messages.
- A licensed practitioner signs the letter. Every Letter of Demand is reviewed and signed by a Pandas lawyer before it goes out.
- We serve it, or you do. By hand, by e-mail, or on WhatsApp with the signed letter attached.
- Your customer is reminded. On days 7, 10 and 14, each reminder states what the claim will add up to with interest and costs if they do not pay.
- If they still do not pay, you decide. We prepare the Small Claims Court filing pack with you. Nothing is filed without your signature.

Start a recovery →Common questions
What kinds of debts can you recover?
Money a customer or client owes your business for goods or services you supplied, work you completed, a loan you made or rent that is owed. If the amount is up to ₦5,000,000, excluding interest and costs, it can usually go to the Small Claims Court in Lagos or Delta if the letter is ignored.
What do I need to start?
The customer’s name and a phone number, e-mail or address, how much is owed and when it was due, and whatever you have in writing: invoices, a contract, receipts, bank transfer records or messages. You tell us the story in a short chat and upload the documents there.
Will this damage my relationship with the customer?
A Letter of Demand is firm but professional. Many customers pay as soon as they see it is coming from a law firm, and the letter makes clear what happens next if they do not. You decide whether we go further.
Does anything go to court without my approval?
No. If the customer has not paid when the fourteen days end, we prepare the court forms with you, and nothing is filed until you have signed them.
Can you promise the customer will pay?
No, and nobody honestly can. What we commit to is a lawyer-signed letter, served properly, reminders on time, and a clear next step if it is ignored.
We have many unpaid accounts. Is there a business rate?
Yes. Businesses and lenders with many accounts can prepay a wallet and send files in bulk, with a weekly report on every account. See debt recovery for lenders and businesses, or e-mail us to talk about a pilot.
